Tragedy strikes a Performer’s family and she winds up in a deadly game of political ambition.

Johanna von Arlo is part of a family of traveling performers. While they do acrobatics and other tricks, she picked up her father’s talent for spinning stories and singing songs. During a performance, tragedy strikes and the von Arlo’s are forced to take up work performing for the local lord. In the midst of everything, dead girls resembling Johanna keep turning up around the countryside. Tensions run high between Johanna and the young Lord Rafael, but her stories captivate the lord’s guests so the family offers their protection. Johanna finds herself in the middle of a dirty political game.

At the same time, a group of magically abled Keepers are in the middle of search for a long lost princess who can help restore the magical barrier between the mortal world and their own. Will they be able to find the princess and fix the wall before someone with more devious plans gets his hands on her?
